CPFR Responds to Apartment Fire

Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue, Whispering Pines Fire/Rescue and Southern Pines Fire/Rescue responded to an apartment building fire on Camp Easter Road. The fire started on the exterior of the apartment and burned up the outside of the apartment building. Upon the arrival on Engine 211 they insured that the apartments had been evacuated and then deployed an attack line to the fire area to knock down the fire. Whispering Pines laid a supply line from the closest fire hydrant and Southern Pines checked the interior of the apartments for fire extension. The fire was kept on the exterior of the apartment building however, smoke had to be removed from two apartments.
The fire was investigated by Moore County Public Safety, also responding were Moore County EMS and the Sheriff's Office. No injuries were reported.
