SUV Fire on Furr Road

Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue was dispatched to a vehicle fire at 255 Furr Road. Upon the arrival of Engine 211 they reported an engine compartment fire of a small SUV that had been abandoned in the roadway. E-211's crew stretched an attack line and attacked the fire and kept the fire from moving into the passenger compartment. The hood was forced open to completely extinguish the fire.
The occupant was able to retrieve some of her belongings and was transported to her residents.
Also responding was Tanker 216, the North Carolina Highway Patrol and Public Safety 6.
