Each year all fire departments are required to complete Fire Engine Service Testing. This testing verifies that the pumps on each fire engine are working properly and can handle the rigors of pumping fires for extended periods of time. Service testing requires three separate test on each fire engine for specific time limits and pressures. If a pump fails anyone of the three test because of mechanical failure the problem must be corrected and the truck must be retested until it passes.
All of Cypress Pointes Fire Engines passed on their initial test.
