On Tuesday, Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue and Moore County EMS were dispatched to a wreck on Long Point Road just outside of Vass. Upon the arrival of CPFR personnel it is quickly determined that there were no injuries in this side-swiping wreck between a dually pick-up truck and a Camaro.
Fortunately for everyone involved there were no injuries and EMS was cancelled prior to their arrival. However, one thing contributing to the safety of the Camaro's occupant was side-curtain air bags. Many vehicles are being manufactured with standard side-curtain air bags now. As you will see from some of the photos they deploy when a vehicle is hit from the side. They provide additional protection for the vehicle occupants.
