Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue responded to a 3:00 a.m. single vehicle wreck on Carthage Street near Pinewood Church Road in Cameron.
Upon the arrival of CPFR units it was determined that the occupant of the truck was entrapped in the vehicle. Fire personnel stabilized the vehicle using a wench and chains with Rescue 229 as an anchor. Then they forced the door to access the patient and remove him from the vehicle. Patient care was transferred to Moore County EMS who transported him to the hospital.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol investigated the incident.
