On Sunday Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue was dispatched to a mobile home fire on Plank Road in Cameron near the Lee County Line. Our automatic aid partners Carthage Fire Department, Whispering Pines Fire Department, Lemmon Springs Fire Department and Tramway Fire Department were also dispatched.
Upon their arrival they reported a working fire in a single wide mobile home. Fortunately, all of the occupants were out of the house. The fire was deep seated and took two attack lines and several minutes to extinguish because the fire was under the home and in the living area.
The Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance for the family.
