Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue was dispatched to a mobile home fire in Carolina Lakes in the Cameron area. The fire was well involved upon the arrival of Engine 221.
The resident was at home with a small child when a window air condition unit over loaded an electrical outlet. The resident and child escape uninjured but it took several minutes for them to locate a neighbor to call 911. The fire was contained within approximately 15 minutes, responding with CPFR was out automatic aid partners: Carthage Fire/Rescue, Whispering Pines Fire/Rescue, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff's Office. Th fire was investigated by Moore County Public Safety.
