Just after 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night, Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue, Whispering Pines Fire Department, Carthage Fire Department and Moore County EMS were dispatched to a structure fire in the 300 block of Crains Creek Road.
Upon the arrival of Engine 211 they reported a single-wide mobile home with an addition on fire with heavy involvement. Access to the structure was limited, crews had to pull attack lines through a wooded area and over a fence and then extend the lines by adding additional hose to reach the fire. Once two attack lines were positioned on either side of the fire, crews were able to start bring the fire under control.
The neighbors had advised us that this was an abandon residents, the investigation into the cause of the fire is being conducted by The Moore County Fire Marshals Office and the Moore County Sheriff's Office.
