Just after 7:30 p.m. on Friday night CPFR was dispatched to their second car fire of the night. This fire was off of Station Hill Road in Cameron where a car was being repaired at a home shop and the car caught fire.
Upon the arrival of Engine 211 they reported a working engine compartment fire. The owner was using a garden hose to keep the fire from spreading but he was unable to extinguish the fire. Firefighters had to force the hood open to gain access to the fire. Once they got the hood open, they were able to extinguish the fire without incident.
No one was injured during this call.
