On Friday, a control burn escapes and destroys two small outbuildings on Monroe Road outside of Cameron. Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue was dispatched along with out automatic aid partners Carthage Fire/Rescue, Whispering Pines Fire Department, N.C. Forest Service and Moore County EMS.
The fire was brought under control quickly but destroyed two out buildings and damaged two vehicles.
No injuries occurred.
