On Saturday, CPFR responded to the 500 block of Stanton Hill Road in Cameron for an outside fire. Upon the arrival of CPFR units they encountered a slow-moving fire that was burning into the woods and threatening a house and another building.
Brush trucks pulled a combination of booster lines and 1.75-inch lines to get ahead of the fire and stop the forward progress of the fire.
North Carolina Forestry Service also responded and assisted with extinguishing the fire and provided the fire investigation. This fire was started by the property owner losing control of a controlled burn.
