| Friday morning, just before 2:00 a.m., Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue, along with our automatic aid partners from Whispering Pines Fire Department, Southern Pines Fire Department, and Moore County EMS, were dispatched to a structure fire on Airport Road in the Lakeview Community.
Upon arrival, Engine 211 reported a working structure fire in a mobile home with visible fire showing. The crew from E211 quickly deployed an attack line, made entry, and began searching for both the seat of the fire and any potential victims. They located the fire in a bedroom and bathroom area and were able to begin extinguishing the fire..
Whispering Pines Engine assisted by securing a water supply from a nearby hydrant and then supported interior operations. The Southern Pines Engine arrived shortly after and relieved Cypress Pointe personnel inside the structure.
The tenant, who was the sole occupant, had safely self-evacuated prior to the fire department’s arrival.
Additional agencies on scene included the Moore County Sheriff’s Office and Moore County Public Safety. Moore County Public Safety is currently conducting the fire investigation.
