Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue, Spout Springs Fire Department and Harnett County EMS responded to a wreck on N.C. 24/27 between a tractor and trailer and a pick-up truck.
The driver of the pick-up truck was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries, the driver of the tractor and trailer was uninjured. The wreck caused fuel to leak from the saddle tank on the tractor and trailer. Fire personnel temporarily controlled the leak until the truck was removed by the wrecker service. N.C. DOT also responded due to the leak, the wreck is being investigated by the N.C. Highway Patrol.
