The fire department never knows what the next response will bring. On October 3rd we were dispatched to a wreck on N.C. 24/27 in Cameron. Upon our arrival it was determined that a truck pulling a casket vault trailer broke a weld on the trailer tongue and caused the trailer to run off the road and down an embankment. The fire department staff responding to the call could never remember responding to a wreck that involved a casket vault. There were no injuries.
