Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue and Moore County EMS were dispatched to a wreck at the intersection of Cypress Church Road and McLaughlin Road. This wreck involved a single passenger vehicle with two occupants. They were unfamiliar with the area and ran through a stop sign and into a wooded area were they hit a pine tree which caused the car to rollover onto its roof and then come to a stop. The vehicle was not visible from the roadway but fortunately a resident that lived close by heard the crash and called 911. Both occupants were injured but self-extricated, they were treated on-scene by fire and EMS staff and then transported to the hospital. This wreck is being investigated by the N.C. Highway Patrol. This same vehicle and occupants had been involved in another wreck the same day.
