Recently CPFR held a night-time Live Fire Training Event. Unfortunately, many of our structure fires occur during darkness and when many people are asleep. Fighting fire in the dark brings other challenges for first responders, training in the dark helps to acclimate our staff to some of those challenges. It is also extremely important for all homes to have working smoke detectors. The night of March 7th CPFR hosted a live fire training event that included: Carthage Fire Department, Southern Pines Fire Department and Whispering Pines Fire Department.
