Recently, Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue was dispatched to assist Carthage Fire/Rescue with an over turned tractor and trailer and the possibility of a pin-in or an entrapment on Union Church Road.
Heavy Rescue 219 and Rescue 229 both responded, when Carthage Fire/Rescue arrived they reported an overturned log truck with no one pinned or entrapped but with downed power lines and a broken power pole. ... (Full Story & Photos)

It is with heavy hearts that we report the passing of Carthage Fire Department Captain James Landis "Lanny" Whitaker, II.
Lanny was a long time firefighter and officer for the Carthage Fire Department. He served both as a volunteer and paid firefighter and was loved and respected by everyone that he came in contact with. CPFR Partners with Bob's Pizza to Promote Cooking Safety

Many people don't realize that the Leading Cause of Home Fires is Unattended Cooking.
In an effort to bring attention to the dangers of Home Cooking Fires, Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue has started an initiative to educate our residents on safety in the kitchen by partnering with several local restaurants.
Our efforts have started by partnering with a community favorite, Bob's Pizza.

No Caption Tractor and Trailer Fire on U.S. 1

On Tuesday night Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue was dispatched to a tractor and trailer fire in the 5000 block of U.S. 1 near Dunrovin Country Store.
