Retired Fire Chief Tony Sassano Passes Away

Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue mourns the passing of Retired Fire Chief Tony Sassano. Chief Sassano served with honor and dedication at the Circle V (Vass) Fire Department, where he held the ranks of Captain, Assistant Chief, and ultimately retired as the full-time Fire Chief in 2009. Cypress Pointe Responds to Early Morning Deck Fire in Woodlake Community

Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue recently responded to a structure fire in the Woodlake Community. Upon arrival, it was determined that the fire was located on the rear deck of the residence.
The early morning fire was first noticed by a neighbor, who immediately called 911 and alerted the sleeping family. Thanks to the quick actions of the neighbor and the residents, who used a garden hose and buckets, ... (Full Story & Photos)

Roll-Over Wreck on Cypress Church Road

Just before 5:00 p.m. CPFR and Moore County EMS were dispatched to a single vehicle wreck on Cypress Church Road. Upon the arrival of our first fire engine the crew reported a car upside down off the roadway with the driver (only occupant) still in the car.
