On August 6th Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue, Southern Pines Fire Rescue, Moore County EMS and N.C. Highway Patrol were dispatched to a roll-over wreck in the 1400 block of U.S. Highway 1 Business in Cameron. The wreck involved a 15 passenger work van with 5 occupants. Two occupants were in serious condition, one occupant was transported to Moore Regional Hospital with head trauma. The second patient received CPR on the scene with additional life saving measures, unfortunately this patient passed away on-scene. The wreck is being investigated by the N.C. Highway Patrol.
